Dr. Chika L. Ojukwu popularly known as "Dr Chika" is a Licensed, and Therapeutic Pharmaceutical Agent (TPA) Certified Optometrist and has been in practice as an Optometrist for more than 25 years.
After graduating from Optometry School she practiced in Nigeria, West Africa for a while where she was involved in the treatment and management of tropical ocular diseases. Dr. Chika served as the National Financial Secretary of the Nigerian Optometric Association. She also served as Assistant to the Registrar of NODRBN. She obtained her Bachelors Degree from the renowned University of Benin and proceeded to Abia State University in Nigeria for her Doctor of Optometry Degree. |
She obtained her Therapeutic Pharmaceutical Agent Certification from Pennsylvania College of Optometry (Salus University) to practice optometry in the State of Maryland and Washington D.C, where she is very much involved in the diagnosis and treatment of ocular diseases.
She served as an Optometric Assistant with Kaiser Permanente Vision Center in Washington D.C prior to joining Walmart Vision Center in Waldorf, Maryland where she was an Independent Doctor of Optometry for 8 years.
Dr. Chika Ojukwu is the CEO of Chika Eye Care which she established in 2011. The practice has grown to become one of the leading comprehensive eye care centers in Southern Maryland. She is a very caring and knowledgeable Comprehensive Eye Care Optometrist whose primary aim is provision of quality eye care to her patients. Her caring attitude, attention to details, welcoming persona and her sense of humor are some of the qualities that have endeared her to her patients.
She is an active member of the following:
Maryland Optometric Association (MOA), American Optometric Association (AOA), National Optometric Association (NOA) and Association of Nigerian Optometrists in North America (ANONA) where she serves as the Vice President.
A dedicated wife and mother of three adults and a teenager, her pastime includes shopping, playing ping-pong, taking walks, church activities and spending time with her family.

Ms. Elda is the Office Manager/ Frame Selection Specialist here at Chika Eye Care. She has extensive optical experience. Quite knowledgeable in frame selection, sales, and customer service. Her cheerful personality, being blessed with a charming smile makes for a very lively work environment.
Ms. Elda is a great asset here at Chika Eye Care. She is a wife and a mother of two adult children of which one is in the Military. She makes sure that glasses are ordered on time and patients are notified of arrival of glasses for a faster turn around time. She ensures that Account Receivables are watched closely . Ms. Elda is very thorough and has a very lively spirit. She ensures the smooth running of the practice.
